Standing seam metal. The last roof you'll ever need.
Properly-installed standing seam outlasts you. It sheds snow and ice instead of holding them. It doesn't require petroleum maintenance. And it doesn't get loud in our climate when the substrate, underlayment, and clips are done right. Crafted on Vermont farmhouses, lake homes, and modern builds. Built to last 75+ years.

What's included
A roof that holds up.
Most roofs fail at the same six places. We engineer against each one. Built to endure Vermont winters, designed to last decades.
Built to handle ice dams
Code says 3 ft of ice-and-water shield from the eave. We install 6 ft. Plus every valley and every penetration. Ice dams find weak seams.
Designed to endure 100+ mph wind
High-nail-zone fastening. Hidden hangers. Drip edge on every job. Lake Champlain wind doesn't get a vote.
Ventilation that protects the deck
Soffit-to-ridge airflow stops ice dams from the inside out. We'll show you what's wrong with your current setup. We'll fix it.
Where roofs actually fail
Hidden fasteners on metal. Step flashing under siding. Pipe boots replaced, not painted. The details that decide if a roof leaks at year 10.
Accountable from tear-off to cleanup
We manage every job. Materials, scheduling, install, cleanup. Photo report at every stage. The buck stops with us.
Quality materials, built to last
Top-tier shingles and metal panels. Low-VOC underlayments. The systems we'd put on our own homes.
FAQ
Common questions.
- Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
- Done right, no. The myth comes from old metal roofs installed directly over thin sheathing with no underlayment. We install over a high-density synthetic underlayment with full sheathing. Sound transmission is comparable to or quieter than asphalt. We can show you a job to walk into during a rain if you want to hear it for yourself.
- How much more does metal cost than asphalt?
- Standing seam metal typically runs 2–2.5x the cost of an architectural asphalt shingle roof on the same home. The flip side: 75+ year service life vs. 25–30 for asphalt. Over the life of the home, metal is often cheaper per year.
- What colors do you offer for metal roofing?
- Most premium standing seam systems offer 20+ colors. The most popular in Vermont: charcoal, slate gray, dark bronze, and matte black. We bring full-size color samples on the inspection so you can see them in your light, against your siding.
